Emergency Website Help & Diagnosis

24/7 emergency website help · one-time service

Website down? Something broke? Let’s find out what’s actually happening.

When your site suddenly stops working, every minute feels expensive. If you’re seeing an error, a broken checkout, an unexpected redirect, or a blank page after a change, you don’t have to keep guessing. Get a real person to investigate the evidence and explain the next move.

New client or existing client, you can call on us. This is a one-time emergency service; no retainer or prior relationship is required.

Before you buy: access and 2FA are required

You must be authorized to access the broken website and able to receive and respond promptly to any two-factor authentication (2FA) request while we are actively working. If you can’t provide timely access, our investigation may be limited. Don’t send passwords or one-time codes through a public form; we’ll coordinate an appropriate access method.

When things go sideways

A website emergency can start with one small change.

You don’t need to know the technical name for the problem. Tell us what you saw, when it started, and what changed just before it. We’ll look for the most likely causes and explain practical next steps.

01 · SITE DOWN

Your website won’t load

A blank screen, 500 error, timeout, or “site can’t be reached” message can come from different layers. We’ll check the evidence available for the domain, hosting, SSL, platform, and recent changes, then map the right escalation or recovery path.

02 · SOMETHING CHANGED

An update broke the site

A new plugin, theme, app, or platform update may have triggered a conflict. We’ll trace what changed, identify where the failure appears, and outline whether a rollback, configuration change, or specialist support is the safest route.

03 · “I HIT SOMETHING”

A setting or edit went wrong

Maybe a page changed, a setting was saved by mistake, or the save button was missed. No judgment. We’ll check available version history, backups, and editor state, then tell you what can realistically be restored or rebuilt.

04 · SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

You suspect a hack or redirect

Unexpected pages, unfamiliar admin users, redirects, or browser warnings deserve a careful look. We’ll assess the information and access available, help identify containment priorities, and be clear if your host or a security-response provider needs to take over.

05 · DOMAIN, DNS, OR SSL

Your address or security certificate failed

A domain lapse, DNS change, or expired certificate can make a working site appear broken. We’ll trace the likely handoff between registrar, DNS, host, and platform and tell you which change or provider should be addressed next.

06 · CHECKOUT OR FORMS

Customers can’t finish an action

A checkout, payment, booking form, or lead form may fail at one specific step. We’ll help isolate where the path breaks and whether the next move belongs to your site settings, an app, payment provider, or host.

The $499 emergency diagnosis

Pay for a clear read on the problem and the choices in front of you.

The $499 fee covers an emergency intake and diagnosis of one reported website incident, followed by a written scope of recommended next actions. We’ll explain what we checked, what appears most likely, what remains uncertain, and which path we recommend. You decide whether to approve any further work.

Included in the one-time fee

  • ✓ Emergency review of one reported incident
  • ✓ Investigation of accessible evidence and likely causes
  • ✓ Clear written scope and recommended next steps
  • ✓ Straight answers about what we can and cannot do
  • ✓ Your choice before any additional work is approved

Repairs, restoration, extended implementation, and third-party provider fees are separate. We’ll scope and price additional work first; nothing beyond this diagnosis proceeds without your approval.

A steady process when you’re under pressure

How 24/7 emergency website support works

STEP 01

Tell us what happened

After purchase, share the affected URL, what you see, when it began, and any changes you remember. You don’t need to diagnose it first.

STEP 02

We investigate the evidence

With authorized access and responsive 2FA, we trace the symptoms to their likely source. Every platform is familiar in some ways and different in its own setup.

STEP 03

You choose what happens next

We give you our findings and a clear scope. You can approve a separately priced fix, take the plan to your own webmaster, or stop after diagnosis.

27 years designing websites

Experience helps you stay calm and find the real cause.

Steve has spent 27 years designing websites and has seen the web change through every major iteration. Those years make familiar patterns easier to recognize, but they don’t make every site identical. We’ll look at your actual setup and follow what the evidence supports.

And we’ll keep it honest. Movies make technology look like magic. Real website trouble often starts with a missed save, a changed setting, a software conflict, exposed credentials, or a provider issue. Sometimes we can handle the fix. Sometimes the right move is your host, platform, or a security specialist. We’ll tell you which situation you’re in as clearly as we can.

Before you decide

Emergency website diagnosis questions

Do I need to be an existing AuditThenFix client?

No. This one-time 24/7 emergency service is available to new clients as well as people we already work with. There’s no retainer requirement.

Does $499 guarantee that you will recover or repair my website?

No. The $499 covers diagnosis and a written scope of recommended actions. Websites have different platforms, access, backups, and failure causes. We’ll do our best, but restoration, repair, security cleanup, and third-party work require a separate scope and your approval.

What if I changed something and forgot to hit Save?

That happens. No blame, no lecture. If the platform exposes version history, backups, or edit state, we’ll check the recovery options and explain what is possible.

Can you stop a DDoS attack or break into a site to recover it?

We can assess the symptoms and help identify the right authorized response. We will not bypass access controls or claim that every attack can be stopped from a website dashboard. Large-scale denial-of-service events, account recovery, malware forensics, or provider-side outages may need your hosting company or a specialist security team.

What should I have ready?

The affected website address, a short description of what you see, when it started, and what changed around that time. You must be authorized to access the site and be reachable for any needed 2FA while we work. Don’t send passwords or verification codes through a public form.
